linux-next?
Even if not meaning exactly that, a lot of the topics Anrew Morton addressed in a presentation at the ‘Japan Linux Symposion’ in July 2008 (Andrew Symposion) are pointing in that direction. What is lacking and what is coming next?
In regard to technology, Andrew points out some very important things for the next years:
- Filesystems
- Memory management
- OS virtualization (container)
- Resource control (per container resource control)
- Tracing
